ABOUT
I started playing in bands as a bass player at the age of 13 and started getting paid for it at 15. During my second semester of college as an art major, I got an offer to go on a 3-month road trip with a band. So, I dropped out of college and ended up being in the music business as a musician, producer, and composer for nearly four decades. During that time, I got to work with some of the most talented & biggest names in the industry, including Leon Russell, Bread and Dave Mason to name a few. Though I still play bass fairly often, I mostly retired from the business side of things in 2008 and began working in multimedia, making a full circle back to what I was aiming for in college.
After redecorating my living room in 2019, I had a large blank wall and wanted to find a painting of the bass I owned early on in the music business. I couldn’t find anything I really liked, and figured I would just paint one myself. I was pleasantly surprised by the finished painting and the process. So, I decided to work on a series of musical instruments that I either have owned or that otherwise played a role in my music career. The paintings on this website are what I have completed so far.
